Welcome
We are inviting your views on a proposal for the extension to the existing Thompson Leisure facility at 62b - 62c Drumnabreeze Road, Magheralin. The feedback received will help to inform the planning application that will be submitted to Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council.
Application Site
The application site comprises 62b - 62c Drumnabreeze Road, Magheralin, Craigavon, BT67 0RH and adjacent lands to the south. It also includes access via the laneway north of 62 and 62a Drumnabreeze Road, a section of Drumnabreeze Road from No 56 to 255m north-north-west of 62 Drumnabreeze Road and the junction of Drumnabreeze Road and Lismaine Road.

Existing and Approved Development
The current facility operated by Thompson Leisure Ltd at 62b - 62c Drumnabreeze Road is primarily used for the preparation, service, rental and storage of campervans and motorhomes. The original garage/workshop and yard benefit from Certificate of Lawfulness approval LA08/2022/0027/LDE. An extension to this building and the yard along with other ancillary development has also been approved by permission LA08/2024/1103/F. The Proposal
The applicant intends to submit a full planning application for a further extension and alterations to the existing commercial garage/workshop building, as well as the erection of an additional workshop building, a covered parking building and a storage building.
Ancillary development includes the extension to the yard area for parking and storage, solar panels and associated site works and landscaping. The red line of the application site also includes a section of Drumnabreeze Road and its junction with Lismaine Road to accommodate any passing bays or other road improvements that may be required by DfI Roads during the course of the application.

All comments should be provided before the end of 5th October 2026 to ensure they are given consideration before submission of the formal planning application.
Next Steps
Following the conclusion of this pre-application public consultation, all comments will be reviewed. Once considered, relevant changes may be made to the development and all comments, including a summary of the key concerns and the applicant’s responses will be included in a Pre-Application Community Consultation Report. This report will accompany the application submission.
Supporting technical and environmental documents will be finalised to accompany the application. Once complete, the supporting documents and final proposed drawings will be submitted with the Pre-Application Community Consultation Report as a planning application to the Council for consideration and determination.
Once the application is validated, the Council will proceed with its own statutory consultation. The Council will notify the local community about the consultation and application process and how they can participate.
